Tailored Solutions for You

I offer therapy to adults of all ages for up to 20 sessions. I work with individuals, couples and people in different forms of relationship.

Sessions are available in person, online or by telephone.

I welcome people of all backgrounds, beliefs, genders, sexualities and relationship structures.

Making a Start

Free initial session

We begin with a free 30-minute conversation to explore whether I am a good fit for your needs.

This can take place in person, online or by telephone. You are also welcome to send questions by email.

We can discuss what you would like support with and how we might work together.

How We Work

Together, we can agree:

  • The focus and frequency of sessions

  • Whether sessions will be in person, online or by telephone

  • A fixed number of sessions or a more open-ended arrangement

  • Any goals you want to review or change over time

  • You may also prefer to explore issues as they arise.

Confidentiality and Fees

What you share will be treated as confidential. The main exception is where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person.

I also discuss aspects of my work with a clinical supervisor without identifying clients.

  • Individual therapy: £60 for 60 minutes

  • Relationship therapy: £80 for 75 minutes

Empowering Facilitation

Good facilitation does not impose solutions or direct people towards a fixed outcome. It creates the conditions for participants to use their own knowledge, experience and judgement to make decisions and develop workable solutions.

Creating the Right Conditions

The facilitator helps create an environment where participants can:

  • Speak openly about the real issues

  • Take responsibility for the outcomes they want

  • Test new ideas and approaches

  • Listen to and value each other’s contribution

  • Build stronger ways of working together

The Practice of Empowerment

Empowerment means enabling people to make changes that support their own needs and those of the wider relationship, team or organisation.

The process is built around five conditions:

  1. Affirmation

  2. Choice

  3. Trust

  4. Courage

  5. Aspiration

 A Safe and Confidential Process

Facilitation is informal, voluntary and confidential. It also takes account of power differences and other factors affecting the situation.

Where joint meetings are used, a separate room is available for private discussions. No report is shared without the agreement of all participants.

The service includes planning before, during and after the event, drawing on more than 30 years’ experience in facilitation, mediation and group psychotherapy.

Cost
  • Half Day £250

Creative Resolutions

I also offer facilitation for individuals who would like to explore a situation or problem and don't need therapy.

This is done using creative action and Psychodrama, which is described in detail on the Psychodrama page.

Even one or a few sessions can be helpful to explore a situation or solve a dilemma within yourself or with others. This is because Creative Action often leads to spontaneous ideas or realizations that haven't occurred yet.

Some Examples

  • Rehearsing a conversation you'd like to have with someone in your life

  • Exploring why you decide to do something important and then don't do it

  • Working out why you put off certain tasks all the time, even when this causes problems for you

  • Exploring a dialogue inside you about conflicting feelings or thoughts

FACILITATION FEES

  • Individual       £60

  • Relationship  £80

Organizations & Groups

  • £250  half day

  • £500 full day
